Construction Diaries #7

WOW. That’s all we can say. In one week we went form slightly panicking to OPEN! And we really couldn’t have done it without so many people who helped us. Whether it was carrying, cleaning, tiling, moving… we are so thankful to everyone who came and helped us.

We’re pretty sure this is the most dramatic difference possible inside of 8 days! Also, we have some changes in the store:

  1. We extended our hours a little bit:
    Monday–Friday: 7a–6p
    Saturday: 7a–2p
    Sunday: closed
  2. We now are serving some light lunch items 11a–2p: paninis (made with meat and cheese from Palluccas, and french bread from Frontenac Bakery), and homemade cup or bowl soup of the day.
  3. We also have croissants (from Sweet Designs Cakery) and a new treat on our shelves… chocolate + coffee = YESSSS. We now have handmade chocolate bars (both milk and dark) and even gorilla-shaped milk chocolates (great for gifts) from Sweet Granada in Emporia.

Your store is beautiful. I am enjoying the blog. Everything is done with such quality and integrity. Thank you for having a great coffee, nice place to sip, visit, work, or enjoy a good book! It’s nice to be a customer but feel like family.
