This is one of our newest selections. India has a very unique way of processing their coffee beans. Sacks of green coffee are exposed to the moist sea air for a few months before monsoon season. When the rains begin to fall, the bags of coffee are emptied onto a covered patio, where they are periodically raked and turned throughout the rainy season.
The unique aging process mellows the beans, turns them a golden tan, and they develop heavy oak, cedar and leather tones with a pronounced nutty, chocolatey and earthy flavors.
Shipping and timing for 5-pound bag orders: We roast coffee on Mondays and Tuesdays. Because we roast to order to ensure freshness, all online orders of 5-pound bags are roasted on those days. Orders to be roasted that week must be made by Sunday at 5pm. Orders made after 5pm Sunday will be roasted and shipped at the beginning of the following week.
